A FEW WORDS ABOUT ME AND MY STYLE
I am Alexy - a wedding photographer or maybe I should say wedding photojournalist who focuses on informal and candid rather than posed wedding photography. My passion for photography started when I was only eight years old and my uncle, himself a keen photographer, gave me my first camera. I quickly learned new terms like aperture, focus and film sensitivity. Over the years, I have taken photos at every family celebration, until I finally decided to take it up professionaly. In years 2008-2010 I was a member of Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA). My style of photography involves story telling with a light touch of fine art and portraiture. I do not direct or ask people to pose as I believe that natural photos are better. I have always preferred the atmospheric nature of classic photographs so in addition to the now standard digital photography I am one of selected number of photographers who offer weddings shot on traditional black and white films which I later take the time to develop manually for a superior result.
PHOTOJOURNALISTIC WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Remaining unobrusive as a photographer helps me ensure that the photos taken at your wedding are a true reflection of the real emotions and feelings on the day. My photos not only provide a precious visual reminder of your wedding but have the added value of also revealing events, expressions of emotions that you missed or been unaware of on the big day. My only request to the couple is to relax and enjoy your day so I can do my best to document your wedding. Of course it is possible to request some more formal shots to be taken but I advise to keep these to a minimum as it can cause too much disruption and delay to the proceedings. Amongst my various wedding assignments I have worked with different nationalties, ethnicities and religions, making sure that everyone's needs were taken into account. "Trash the dress" photo opportunities can be arranged after the wedding. I usually cover weddings in London but nationwide and worldwide orders are more than welcome.
