Biography – Aleksy Antoniewicz

Aleksy’s passion for photography started when he was only eight years old.  His uncle, himself a photographer, gave Aleksy his first camera, and he never looked back.  Over the years, Aleksy took photos at every family celebration, until he started taking wedding photos professionally in 2001.

Aleksy describes his style as photojournalistic or reportage.  The words that explain this style best are ‘candid’, ‘unobtrusive’ and ‘discreet’.  His inspiration is drawn from the works of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Gavin Watson and Sebastiao Salgado.
